FEMA Relief & Curfew

The mandatory evacuation and dusk til dawn curfew for Lake Arthur is still in effect. Further flooding is still a threat.

Jefferson Davis Parish Office of Emergency Preparedness Director, Sheriff Ivy Woods are reminding people in the area they can now apply for aid by calling the Federal Emergency Management Agency - FEMA , to apply for benefits. Contact the Hotline—FEMA 1-800-621-3362 or online atwww.disasterassistance.gov to register. Even if you have not had damage at this time, if you are in the affected areas of Lake Arthur, Welsh, and Lacassine where flooding occurred, please go online or call and register.

Remember that officials from FEMA will never ask you for money in return for benefits. Never give personal information to anyone claiming to be working for an assistance agency without proper identification. Report any suspicious activity to our dispatch office at 821-2100. Don't be a victim twice!
