Tropical storm preparation

As of Wednesday, July 10, the Jefferson Davis Parish Police Jury Office has provided sand and sandbags at the following locations:

Fire District #1 - 14132 Hwy. 395, Roanoke

Fire District #2 / La. Hwy. 102 - 5396 Pine Island Hwy, Jennings

Fire District #3 / Woodlawn - 20487 Hwy 101, Iowa

Fire District #3 / Bayou Chene - 6475 Hwy 99, Welsh

Fire District #3 / Lacassine - 17155 Hwy 90, Welsh

Fire District #3/ 101 South - 11055 Hwy 101 South, Iowa

Fire District #5 / Iowa - 23405 Hwy. 383, Iowa

Fire District #7 / Topsy - 135 North Lane, Ragley

Fenton Equipment Yard - 18677 Estes Rd., Iowa

Fenton Elementary School - 509 1St Street, Fenton

Elton City Hall - 1302 Main St., Elton

 

FOR RESIDENTS OF JENNINGS, LAKE ARTHUR AND WELSH:

City of Jennings - City Street Dept. Barn, located at 106 East Jefferson Street, Jennings. *LIMIT THREE BAGS PER DOOR.

Town of Lake Arthur - LOOSE SAND ONLY is available at the Lake Arthur Community Center, located at 701 8th St., Lake Arthur, and BAGS are available at the Lake Arthur Police Station, located at 102 Arthur Ave., also in Lake Arthur.

Town of Welsh - Sand and bags are available at the Welsh Community Center, 101 Palmer St., Welsh.

ALL citizens are advised that SHOVELS WILL NOT BE PROVIDED at any of the locations.
