Traffic stop results in two arrests

Early this morning around 2:00 am deputies stopped a vehicle on LA 102 near Empire road for a headlamp out. When deputies spoke to the occupants they observed nervous behavior and a records check revealed prior drug history.
A consent to search was obtained and the search revealed approximately 2 grams methamphetamine, glass smoking pipe and two firearms.
Kyle Wesley Pilley, 35, of 1402 2nd avenue Kinder, and Richard James Sonnier, 33, of 163 John drive, Iota were arrested.
Sonnier was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of CDS schedule II, and possession of CDS I marijuana.
Pilley was charged with headlamps on motor vehicles, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of CDS II, and illegal carrying of weapons.
