Traffic stop results in drug arrest

On Saturday, June 19, 2021, Deputies stopped a vehicle traveling northbound on Highway 97 for a littering violation.
During the stop deputies discovered drug paraphernalia and ran a k-9 on the vehicle. The k-9 alerted and the subsequent search revealed marijuana.
The driver, Tracy Lynn Ryder, 33, of 15368 Hwy 26, Jennings was arrested and transported to the parish jail. During booking procedures deputies found drug contraband in Ryder's clothing.
Ryder was booked on possession of Marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, taking contraband into penal facility, obstruction of justice and possession of CDS II.
