traffic stop nets drug arrest

On Friday morning, around 4:45 AM deputies stopped a vehicle for traffic violation on LA 26 and Alice street, Jennings.
Deputies approached the driver and asked for her license, the driver could not produce a driver's license or registration to the vehicle. The driver stated the vehicle didn't belong to her.
A k-9 unit responded and an alert was positive on the vehicle for narcotics odor. The search revealed drug paraphernalia and a small amount of methamphetamine.
The driver, Brandy Ellen Bye, 36, of 17441 Highway 90, Crowley was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of CDS schedule II, driving with no license, and license plate light violation. Bye is held in the parish jail on a $10,000 bond.
