traffic stop nets drug arrest

Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff's deputies patrolling early this morning stopped a vehicle for speeding at 5th street and North Cutting just after midnight.
The driver was found to be under suspension. A consent to search was obtained and deputies discovered pills in the vehicle, and the driver had no valid prescription. Deputies found Alprazolam (Xanax).
The driver, Wendy Monique Lejeune,45, of 1201 Church street, Mermentau, LA was arrested and booked into the parish jail for speeding, driving under suspension and possession of CDS IV.
