traffic stop nets drug arrests

Patrol Deputies made a traffic stop on Saturday evening around 8 pm the Welsh street and King street.
The driver gave consent to search and the search revealed marijuana, Clonazepam, and Methamphetamine along with drug paraphernalia.
Stanly Terrell Bennett, 44, of 424 South Simmons street, Welsh and Devon Phillip Rister, 32, of 207 Doucet street, Welsh were charged with possession of CDS I marijuana, possession of CDS II, possession of CDS IV, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Rister and Bennett were booked into the parish jail with no bond.
