Traffic stop leads to drug arrest

In a separate incident Thursday, JDSO Deputies stopped a vehicle for a traffic stop of fourth street in Lake Arthur around 4 pm.  The driver, Donna Marie Allemand, 40, of 708 Calcasieu Street, Lake Arthur gave consent to deputies to search her vehicle.  Deputies located in her purse a syringe and needle, and Suboxone.  Allemand was arrested on charges of Possession of CDS III, Possession of drug paraphernalia and  traffic offenses. A friend of Allemand's was called to remove her vehicle and she was transported to the parish jail for booking.
