Stolen vehicle recovered

On Friday, June 3, 2022, at 2 AM, Deputies were dispatched to the area of Highway 26 and Crochet Road in Jennings, Louisiana, in reference to a suspicious male knocking on doors asking for gasoline and to use a phone.
Deputies located a white male walking southbound on Highway 26 near Crochet Road. During questioning the male advised deputies that his car had run out of gasoline and was approximately one-half mile north of Crochet Road.
Deputies transported the male to where the vehicle was parked in a private drive. Deputies ran inquiry on the vehicle and it was reported stolen out of Florida.
Justin Cory Jennings, 37, of 1827 29th avenue, St. Petersburg, FL was arrested and booked into the parish jail for possession of stolen things.
