Stolen Items recovered and arrest

Jeff Davis Sheriff's Office deputies recovered items Tuesday that were stolen from different locations in the parish. Detectives identified two stolen items, a Stihl Weed eater and  an X-mark Zero turn mower recovered from a barn on Highway 1126 in Jennings. Detectives were assisted by Chief Turner, of Lake Arthur Police Department with identifying the victim /owner of the zero turn mower that had not yet been reported stolen. Deputies took a Theft report on December 29, 2017 where the victim reported the Stihl Weed eater stolen along with a Pioneer Zero turn Mower and utility trailer from a residence on Andrus cove cemetery road. Dawn Lynn Fontenot, 36, of 6415 Highway 1126, Jennings, was arrested and charged with Illegal possession of stolen things and booked into the parish jail with no bond. Additional arrests are expected.
