Sex Offender arrest

On September 11, 2019 a Tier 2 registered sex offender turned himself in to Jeff Davis deputies.
Stefan Roland Fontenot, 46, of 702 West Nezpique #9 Jennings, LA had an outstanding warrant for failure to register and notify his out of state travel to Mississippi.
Fontenot was arrested in Marion County, MS in July 2019 for failure to register as a sex offender in Mississippi. Sex Offender watch deputies were notified of the arrest and discovered that Fontenot had been traveling back and forth between LA and Mississippi and failing to report the travel as required by statute.
Deputies notified Fontenot of his violations and he reported to deputies. Fontenot is being held in the Jeff Davis Parish jail with no bond.
