Saturday morning January 15, 2022 deputies stopped a vehicle on Interstate 10 west near milepost 63for a traffic violation.
During stop driver, Kevin James Baham, 35, of 1325 Montegue st., New Orleans, LA admitted to not possessing driver's license.
Baham gave deputies consent to search his vehicle. A search revealed a loaded Ruger 9mm handgun with obliterated serial numbers was located under the driver seat with a loaded extended magazine.
Baham was booked into parish jail for Driving on Roadway Laned for Traffic; Turn Signals Required; Driving Under Suspension; Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon; Possession of Firearm with obliterated numbers.
