Narcotics arrest

On July 26, 2023, at 1 am , Deputies stopped a tan Ford F-150 at the cemetery on Beaufort Street, Welsh for faulty equipment.
Deputies observed the driver was fidgety and appeared to be under the influence of narcotics. A consent to search was obtained and deputies discovered illegal narcotics and paraphernalia inside the vehicle.
The driver, Stacy Lynn Benoit , 45, of 503 W. Russell , Welsh, LA was arrested for possession of CDS II, possession of drug paraphernalia and no license plate light.
