Fugitive arrest

On Monday, May 15, 2023, Deputies patrolling Hill Road and Abell Road, observed a Gold Dodge Durango with an expired license plate.
The vehicle was stopped, and deputies discovered the driver was a fugitive and had several warrants outstanding for his arrest.
Dispatch advised the deputy that Shawn Keith Johnson, 43, of 7718 Crochet road, Hayes, LA was wanted for four active contempt of court warrants.
Johnson was arrested and charged with 3 counts of driving under suspension, issuing worthless checks, switched plates and possession of drug paraphernalia.
