Felons arrested

On January 4, 2022, Jeff Davis Sheriff's deputies stopped a Dodge charger on Interstate 10 near milepost 63 for traffic violation.
Deputies observed a Glock 22, .40 caliber semi auto pistol on the front seat of the vehicle. The driver, Rachael Lyn Touchet was issued citation for Improper lane usage.
The vehicle was also occupied by her son, Chad Michael Touchet. Both are known convicted felons with lengthy criminal histories.
Rachael Lyn Touchet, 46, of 211 W. 5th avenue, Roanoke, LA and Chad Michael Touchet, 21, of 163 Packing house road, Lake Charles, both were charged with possession of firearm by convicted felon and booked into the parish jail.
