Jefferson Davis Parish Deputies conducted a DWI checkpoint Friday night on US 90 west of Jennings assisted by Welsh police officers and Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's deputies.
Three citations were issued for driving under suspension, open container of alcohol and expired inspection sticker. Four standard field sobriety tests were conducted. No DWI's were issued.
One arrest occurred involving a warrant for LSA R.S. 14:80.1 Carnal knowledge of a juvenile on Christopher P. Istre, 25, of 718 Bryan Street, Jennings, La. Istre was arrested when deputies observed him as a passenger in a vehicle at the checkpoint. Istre was booked into Jefferson Davis Parish Jail.
