On Wednesday April 13,2022, Deputies stopped a vehicle east bound on Interstate 10 near milepost 44. 

During the traffic stop deputies observed marijuana in the vehicle.  A search of the vehicle revealed approximately 3 ½ lbs. of marijuana. 

The driver, Emron D. Babineaux, 31, of 326 David Neil road, Rayne, LA was arrested and booked for possession of cds I marijuana, possession of cds I marijuana with intent to distribute, and possession of drug paraphernalia. 

The passenger, Trayvon Anthony Hurt, 28, of 503 Wilbert D. Rochelle, Jennings was arrested and booked on outstanding warrants from Jennings police for resisting an officer, obstruction of justice, possession of CDS II, along with new charges of possession of marijuana , possession with intent to distribute cds I marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
