Drug takeback day

Saturday, April 30, 2022 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. is this year's official Drug Enforcement Administration's (DEA) National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day.

 

The DEA strives for safety and health while encouraging the public to dispose of unwanted medications from their homes as a measure of preventing medication misuse, addiction, and drug-related violence.

 

Proper disposing of unwanted or outdated medications also keeps toxins out of water systems which can be harmful to people, animals and fish.

 

The location to drop off your unwanted medications is the Jefferson Davis Sheriff's office, 1530 Hwy 90 West, Jennings, LA.
