Domestic call results in arrest

On Saturday, July 18, 2020, Deputies responded to 14212 North Frontage Road in reference to a disturbance.  The complainant advised her brother, Ronnie Levell Lyons, 53, of 14220 North Frontage rd., Welsh, had entered the residence without permission and threatened a 70 year old male.

The disturbance was over a rechargeable battery for a cordless drill.  Lyons threatened the elderly male, stating, "better "give me my battery right now or I'll bust you up!".

While placing Lyons under arrest deputies located approximately 2 grams of green vegetable matter identified as marijuana in his wallet.

Lyons was arrested and booked into the Jefferson Davis Parish Jail without incident on charges of simple robbery, unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.
