Domestic abuse arrest

On Saturday, March 25, 2023, at around 9 am deputies were dispatched to 13018 Touchet Road, Jennings, when complainant was stating her husband is hurting her.

When deputies arrived, they met with the complainant and she stated her husband Branden Furay, was upset with her because she let her oldest daughter stay the previous night at the residence. 

The complainant advised that the argument continued this morning and got physical again when he threw her to the ground and hit her behind the ear.  Furay left the residence before deputies arrived, however he was spotted driving on Highway 395 and was stopped by deputies. 

Branden Kane Furay, 42, was arrested and booked into the parish jail for domestic abuse battery with child endangerment and an outstanding contempt of court warrant.
