Domestic abuse arrest

On Saturday, December 4, 2021, at 4:30 am deputies were dispatched to 2801 Royer Road, Jennings, Louisiana in reference to a domestic disturbance.
The victim reported her brother threatened her with a hatchet when she refused to drive him to store. Deputies observed damage to wall from the hatchet and located the hatchet in a clothes basket.
Jeremy Blane Gatte, 38, of 2801 Royer road, was arrested and charged with domestic abuse battery and taking contraband into penal facility. Deputies discovered box cutter in Gatte's waistband.
