Domestic abuse arrest

On Friday, December 3, 2021, at 3:15 pm deputies were dispatched to 27220 Highway 383, Kinder, Louisiana in reference to a domestic disturbance in progress. 

Deputies spoke with complainant and observed marks on complainant and suspect indicating a physical confrontation occurred.  Mark Kevin Phillips, 60, of 22065 Constance road, Jennings was arrested for domestic abuse battery with strangulation. 

During arrest and pat down deputies found drugs and drug paraphernalia.  Phillips was also charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and taking contraband into penal facility.
