Domestic abuse battery arrest

On February 9, 2022, Deputies were dispatched to the Jennings American Legion hospital in reference to domestic abuse battery that occurred several days before at a residence in Welsh.
The victim reported her boyfriend struck her in the eye with his fist. The reported argument began over the boyfriend thinking the victim took his money.
Anthony Junior Prudhomme, 41, of 201 North 4th Street, Welsh, was arrested by deputies at the hospital. Prudhomme was booked into the parish jail for Domestic abuse battery.
