Domestic abuse battery arrest

On Sunday May 12, 2019 Deputies responded to a call on Highway 26 in Jennings for a disturbance on the side of the roadway.
When deputies arrived the victim reported that she and her boyfriend were traveling in the vehicle when an argument began. They pulled over onto the shoulder and the victim exited the vehicle with her child.The victim stated she was slapped, punched and choked by her boyfriend before deputies arrived.
Kevin James Legros, 30, of 1135 8th street, Lake Arthur was arrested on 1 count Domestic abuse battery with child endangerment and 1 count domestic abuse battery with strangulation. Legros was booked into the parish jail with a $10,000 bond.
