Deputies Stop vehicle with large amount of cash

On Sunday, November 10, 2013, Jefferson Davis Sheriff's Office deputies stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation bearing LA registration WKJ510.  The vehicle was occupied by two individuals. Both were extremely nervous.  A roadside interview was conducted and a traffic citation issued.  After issuing the citation the driver granted permission to search the vehicle.  A search of the vehicle revealed a total of $52,104 US Currency. Currency was seized based on information from the investigation. Both subjects were subsequently released after investigation due to lack of jail space.
