Deputies Respond to Shots Fired Call

  Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff's patrol received complaint of shots fired on LA 26 just north of I-10 this morning. As deputies arrived they observed a white male running from a residence carrying a firearm. Michael Joseph Comeaux, 24, of Pete Road Jennings was apprehended after a short foot pursuit. Deputies recovered a .45 caliber semi auto pistol, two fully loaded magazines and a knife. Comeaux was charged with Attempted 2nd degree Murder, Resisting arrest, and possession of firearm by convicted felon. Comeaux has additional charges pending in Calcasieu parish involving auto theft and aggravated battery.
