Cruelty to juvenile arrest

Jeff Davis Sheriff's deputies responded to a call Christmas eve in Lacassine.  The complainant reported to deputies that a neighbor's child had come over to play and she saw the child had a black eye.

Deputies spoke with the children and the father. Deputies discovered the father had struck the child causing the juvenile boy to have an injury to both eyes, bruised and blackened. 

The father, Joseph Adam Ducote, 37, of 430 Algonia avenue, Lacassine, La was arrested and booked Monday evening around 5:30 pm for cruelty to a juvenile. Ducote is incarcerated in the parish jail with no bond.
