Civil complaint leads to arrest

On Sunday, March 1, 2020,Deputies responded to 517 Mt. Triumph Street, Roanoke, in reference to civil complaint.  While on scene, Dispatchers advised deputies that one of the individuals , Chance Dwayne Beroid had an active felony warrant. 

Deputies advised Beroid he had an arrest warrant.  Beroid became argumentative and attempted to get away from deputies.  Beroid was uncooperative and pulled away from deputies as they attempted to arrest and handcuff him.  Deputies deployed their Taser and successfully secured Beroid without further incident or injury

Chance Beroid, 29, was transported to the Jefferson Davis Parish Jail. He was charged with LARS 14:108 Resisting An Officer, Warrant# 44636-3 (LARS 14:62.3 Unauthorized Entry of an Inhabited Dwelling, LARS 14:56 Simple Criminal Damage to Property, LARS 14:35.3 Domestic Abuse Battery), and Warrant# C-020214 (Non-Support).
