Attempted car jacking

On Friday, August 13, 2021, deputies were dispatched to West Racca Road, Jennings, in reference to a suspicious person complaint.
While responding, deputies were advised by dispatchers, the suspect was attempting to enter the victim's residence. Jennings Police Department responded to assist and detained a male subject found in the complainant's vehicle.
The complainant reported the subject jumped into his truck while he was in his driveway and attempted to enter his residence before police arrived.
Jonas Ray Daniel, 37, of 703 New Orleans avenue, Lake Arthur was arrested and booked for attempted carjacking and outstanding warrants, of three counts of unauthorized entry of inhabited dwelling.
