On Friday afternoon, Detectives with the Jeff Davis Sheriff’s office arrested Jennings man on outstanding warrant for Cruelty to Juveniles. 

Scott William Sonnier, 40, of 4403 Trailer Town road, Jennings was booked into the parish jail with no bond. 

The incident occurred on August 22, 2019, the victim was taken to the Jennings American Legion Hospital for treatment.  It was reported the victim had slipped and fell.  The 13 yr old victim returned to get staples removed and told what had really happened.  The victim reported he was beaten by his father.

Detectives obtained an arrest warrant and Sonnier was picked up when he returned from work offshore.
