On Wednesday August 7, 2019 Deputies were dispatched to 2064 Jeff Davis Academy road, Jennings for a disturbance.

When deputies arrived they were informed that the argument had ended, but one of the involved individuals had threatened to commit suicide and left the scene with a firearm. 

Neighbors reported to deputies the individual was observed running into a wooded area carrying a shotgun.  Deputies searched the area and located the individual hiding in a motor home.  He was apprehended without incident.

Henry Allen Welch, 38, of 718 Clara Street, Jennings was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
