Jeff Davis Sheriff’s detectives picked up a Jennings man on outstanding warrant for possession of illegal narcotics. 

Philip Charles Richard, 56, of 19185 Elton Drive, Jennings was arrested Tuesday afternoon for possession of CDS II and possession with intent to distribute heroin or fentanyl.  Richard is held in the parish jail with no bond.

The investigation began on March 26, 2019 when deputies responded to a medical call at Richard’s address of a possible overdose. Richard was transported to Jennings American Legion hospital for treatment.
