Arrest 9/13/13

  On Friday night, 09-13-13, Jefferson Davis Sheriff Patrol Deputies were driving on N. Railroad Ave. in Roanoke. They observed a gray Chevrolet Malibu bearing a LA license plate turning off of Azalea street right onto N. Railroad Ave. The driver failed to signal the turn. Upon making contact with the driver, Jamesha Johnson, 24 of Roanoke, LA they could smell a strong odor of marijuana emanating from the car window. Deputies obtained written consent from the driver to search the vehicle. Deputies located a pile of what appeared to broken pieces of a crack cocaine cookie. The pieces were located on the front passenger's seat on the seat cover and partially under the seat cover. The passenger that was sitting in the front passenger seat, Racquel Antoine, had residue of cocaine on her pants and shirt consistent with the cocaine on the seat. The white rock like substance tested positive for cocaine with the field test wipe. Racquel Antoine; 26, of 14211 LA 395, Roanoke, LA 70581 was arrested and booked into JDSO parish jail for Possession of cocaine with intent to distribute. Johnson was cited for Failure to signal and released.
