On July 11, 2019 at around 6:45 pm deputies were dispatched to 9390 Lognion road, Iowa for a disturbance.  When deputies arrived they found a victim that had visible marks and lacerations on her body.  She was visibly shaken and receiving attention from Acadian ambulance personnel.

An 18 month old child was present in the room during the altercation.

The husband, Paul Evans Miller, 63, of 9390 Lognion road, Iowa was arrested for Domestic abuse battery with child endangerment.  Miller was transported and booked in the parish jail with no bond.
