On July 1 deputies were called to Jennings American Legion hospital to investigate a complaint of child molestation. 

Deputies were advised that a female victim 10 years of age reported to her mother,  she was touched inappropriately Sunday night by her mother’s boyfriend.

Detectives were called out to investigate.  The victim was transported to Lake Charles Memorial hospital for examination.

Jeff Davis Sheriff’s detectives obtained a warrant for Jason Ray Craft, 39, of 4159 Grand Marais road, Jennings on charges of First degree Rape.  Craft was arrested Tuesday evening July 2nd. He is held in the parish jail with no bond.
