Arrest 9/11/13

Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff Patrol deputies made a traffic stop in the early morning of 9/11/13 and discovered narcotics and a weapon.  Deputies observed a vehicle parked in a business parking lot on East Plaquemine street pull out onto the roadway and then make a illegal u-turn while on Louise Street.  The vehicle was stopped and the driver, Nicholas Anderson approached.  Deputies could smell the odor of burnt marijuana. Deputies obtained written consent to search the vehicle and discovered synthetic marijuana, oxycodone, drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle.  Anderson, 21, of 209 Main Street Lot #5, Baldwin, LA  and passenger, Tamisha James, 19, of 3619 Texas Street, Apt. 199 Lake Charles were arrested for Possession of CDS I and II, Possession of drug paraphernalia, Illegal carrying of weapons in presence of CDS, and Illegal u-turn. During booking procedures, Tamisha James was found to have hidden in her undergarments a .22 caliber pistol and drug scale.  Both were booked into the Parish Jail on above charges.
