On Monday, March 25, deputies served an eviction notice at 923 McKinley street, Jennings. 

When deputies arrived they discovered Leroy John Batiste, Jr. sleeping in the bedroom.  He initially refused to get up and vacate. Batiste  removed himself from the residence and walked across the street.

Batiste, 38, of 923 McKinley st,  refused to leave the area and deputies placed him under arrest for violation of restraining order.  Batiste, Jr was booked into the parish jail with no bond.
