Hidden in Plain Sight: An Awareness Program for Parents

"Hidden in Plain Sight" is a traveling display that will be presented by the Jefferson Davis Sheriff's Office to the public.  "Hidden in Plain Sight" is an exhibit designed to resemble a teenager's bedroom.  Throughout the exhibit there are items that may indicate a teenager is involved in risky and even illegal activity such as substance abuse, underage drinking, eating disorders, sexual activity, and more.  Adults are invited and encouraged to explore and interact with the exhibit.  There is no charge to attend this exhibit, but kids and teens are not allowed.

  • The 1st event is scheduled for Friday, September 20th, 2013 from 10:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. at the Lake Arthur Community Center located at 701 8th Street in Lake Arthur.

  • The 2nd even is scheduled for Friday, September 27th, 2013 from 10:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. at the Welsh Community Center located at 101 Palmer Street in Welsh.
