02/19/2019

On Monday February 18th at approximately 4:30 am deputies were dispatched to 2109 Second Avenue, Roanoke for a burglary in progress.

When deputies arrived they spoke with Kennen Daniel. Daniel advised that he thought he heard someone tapping on the side of the residence.  Daniel was obviously under the influence of alcohol or narcotics.

Deputies checked the residence and found a female inside who stated Kennen Daniel did not live at the residence and she didn’t give him permission to enter.

Kennen Daniel, 30,  was arrested and booked into the parish jail for resisting an officer, possession of drug paraphernalia and unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling.

Daniel was transported to the Jennings American legion hospital for evaluation. While at the hospital Daniel became combative and fought with deputies. One transport deputy received an injury to his hand during the altercation.

Daniel was charged with a second resisting an officer charge and 1 count of battery of correctional facility employee.  Daniel is being held with no bond.
