Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff’s detectives arrested an individual this afternoon on 1 count of Access device Fraud and 1 count of Theft between $5000 and $25000 (Felony). Detectives received the complaint from the victim in February 2018, and determined by transaction records that the offenses occurred between September 2016 and February 2018. 

Detectives obtained surveillance video footage that identified the subject who completed 23 different transactions with the victim’s access card.  The total monetary loss for the victim was $8,232.00.  The subject, Scott Joseph Lavergne, 46, of 813 7th street, Lake Arthur, LA was booked on the charges and held with no bond.
