Patrol deputies with the Jeff Davis Sheriff’s office responded to a family disturbance call at 2197 Third street, Lake Arthur yesterday afternoon. 

Debra Sue Vincent, 56, of 2197 Third street, Lake Arthur was arrested for simple battery and aggravated assault with a firearm. Deputies were advised by the victim that Vincent pushed her down while she was holding her seven month old child and then retrieved a marlin .22 rifle from the gun rack and pointed it at persons in the residence.

Vincent was booked into the parish jail with no bond.
