Jeff Davis Sheriff’s deputies investigated a report of a burglary at a residence on Pine Hill Cemetery road on February 6.  Detectives developed a suspect through information received from the victim. A set of fingerprints were obtained at the residence where the suspect made entry into the residence. The Southwest Crime lab returned a positive identification to detectives that matched the suspect.  Detectives applied for an arrest warrant for Luis Fernando Torres, 36, of 1312 Roper drive, Scott, LA. Saturday, Detectives arrested Torres on the outstanding warrant for 2 counts Simple Burglary. Torres is incarcerated in the parish jail with no bond.
