The Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff's Office expects their employees to always operate in a professional manner.  If you would like to file a formal complaint on a Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff's Office employee you should follow this process.

Complaints against a deputy should be made in person, using the "Formal Complaint Against a Deputy Form," which may be obtained from a Supervisor at our administrative office located at, 1530 Hwy 90 W Jennings, LA 70546.  You will be asked to sign the formal complaint form and provide a telephone number for future contact. In the event that you are unable to come into the office, complaints may be taken over the telephone and a "Formal Complaint Against A Deputy Request Form" will be mailed, e-mailed or faxed to you.

Sexual harassment is a form of sex discrimination. Like discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, age or handicap, it is a violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended, and shall not be tolerated. It shall be the policy of the Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff's Office that sexual harassment is prohibited in any form. Unlawful sexual harassment includes, but is not limited to, any unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature which are made a condition of any employment decision affecting such individuals (e.g., assignment, training or advancement). Unlawful sexual harassment also includes any unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal and physical conduct of a sexual nature that create an offensive, hostile, or intimidating work environment. The use of signs, pictures, slogans or excerpts of periodicals is examples of some items that are considered to affect the employee's work environment. Cooperation in preventing this type of conduct is required at all levels and positions within the Sheriff's Office.

  1. Head North on Hwy 26 (South Lake Arthur Drive)

Coming from Hwy 26 from the North (ex. Elton)

There Sheriff's Office does not have an animal control department.  It is the municipalities responsibility for animal control in their jurisdiction.  The numbers for each municipalities animal control office is listed here.  If you live outside of a municipality there is currently no parish animal control.
